Visit
Douglas Vale is open to the public every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 10am t0 3pm for guided tours of the museum and grounds, as well as wine tastings and cheese plates. We also hold special events where we are open to the general public several times a year.
The range of activities at one of these events changes depending on that days theme, however they generally include our well known Devonshire Teas, a tasty BBQ, volunteer led homestead and grounds tours, wine tasting and musical entertainment.

Public Guided Tours & Wine Tasting
To do all that is offered at Douglas Vale your visit will take 1-2 hours especially if you wander through the orchard, vegetable garden, historic cottage, pond gardens and vineyard. Take a guided tour of the homestead museum and do a wine tasting.
Take time to relax with a glass of wine and a cheese plate, all within 5 mins of Port Macquarie’s CBD. You can even walk there. A unique taste of history.
Come by yourself or pre-book a group visit package. Hire the venue for a function or wedding.
Group Visits
Group Visits are available for 12 to 30 people during our regular opening hours, 10am to 3pm on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.
We can provide Devonshire Tea, wine tasting & tour packages and light lunches.

If you’re planning a party, wedding, a special celebration, or even a wake, Douglas Vale offers a very unique experience for you and your friends and family at a very reasonable cost.
From walking through our heritage-listed bamboo grove to celebrating against the backdrop of grapevines, lush green lawns and the beautiful pond gardens, ideal for wedding photos, our volunteers can help make your function unforgettable.
Douglas Vale offers various outdoor venues with options for marquees, as well as the 70 seat indoor Wine House recently rebuilt to replicate the original 1860’s cellar room, offering modern facilities with a stage, sound system, projector and flexible seating arrangements with the intimate charm of an old-world setting.
