Douglas Vale Historic Homestead & Vineyard was built in 1862 and is the oldest timber homestead in the Hastings region.
The museum, vineyard and cellar door have been restored. Our boutique vineyard produces six varieties of wine. Drop in for a tour of the homestead and grounds, enjoy tastings of our heritage wines produced from handpicked grapes. Stroll our grounds and gardens, bring a picnic or share one of our cheese plates with a glass of wine, beer or soft drink (no BYO alcohol).
We are open to the public for guided tours of the museum and grounds, as well as wine tastings and cheese plates every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 10am t0 3pm.
We invite larger groups to book a visit on days we are open to the public.
